All TeleHawk models are fabricated as vandal resistant, stainless steel
panels, married to corrosion proof back boxes fitted with neoprene
foam sealing gaskets. When properly installed, performance to
IP55 or better is easily achievable.
The DorHawk model's panel, being intended primarily for domestic situations,
is available in a variety of aesthetic styles and materials, including ABS,
Aluminium, Stainless Steel and Brass, but all need to be sited carefully, as
exposed, outdoor and/or noisy locations are not suitable.
The programming 'language' is uniform across the TeleHawk range.
A competent engineer should be able to configure and maintain a typical
installation unaided. However, where a large number of call
points need to be set up, a specially designed bulk programming
unit ('the Pod') is available as a seperate item. This unit is
also recommended for anyone who needs to update call point
details regularly.
The range employs a large number of common parts, from electronics
modules to metalwork. This means lower component costs, making
it cost effective for system maintainers to hold their own stock
of contingency spares.
